Heroes of the Storm's next hero is going to be an adorable Protoss Probe named Probius

Heroes of the Storm has never shied away from silly heroes. I mean, one of the earliest heroes they added was a baby Murloc who throws around pufferfish! But even with all of that considered I must admit I was quite surprise to hear that the next hero will be an adorable little Protoss Probe by the name of Probious.
Before diving into his skills and abilities I would first suggest you check out the recently posted trailer. It doesn't feature any gameplay footage, but its a great little bit of animation and it perfectly sets the mood for Probious. Anyway, have a look:
NieR: Automata is coming to PC on March 17th, the system requirements have been revealed

After a ridiculous amount of conflicting statements and an equally ridiculous period of complete silence it has finally been confirmed that NieR: Automata will be coming to PC and Steam on March 17th. Unlike the PlayStation 4 version which will arrive on March 7th in North America and March 10th in Europe, the PC version seems to be a simultaneous release for everyone.
Along with the release date the developers also raveled the full system requirements, and you'll be glad to hear that they are quite low by today's standards. Usually you need an i5 CPU or equivalent for minimum settings, but with NieR: Automata an i5 will carry you all the way to "recommended". But enough rambling from me, here's the list:
The System Shock remaster now has its first gameplay trailer after a switch to Unreal Engine 4

[Update]: The System Shock Remake has now arrived, and it's looking quite good so far! The console versions are also on the way, though those will be coming at a later date.
The System Shock remaster was originally supposed to be developed in Unity, but unfortunately those plans went sour when the developers encountered numerous issues with performance, as you can see in the playable demo. The project is still moving forward, so don't worry about it being canceled, but from now it will done in Unreal Engine 4, which honestly makes a whole lot more sense for a game like System Shock.
If you're interested in how the transition has gone, and what the graphics in this newest version look like, you'll find the most recent gameplay trailer right below. Just do bear in mind that what you'r watching is pre-alpha footage, so don't be surprised if you notice some fairly stilted animations. Anyway, have a look:
Danganronpa V3: Killing Harmony is coming to PC later this year
- By Ash
- in News
After the original Danganronpa managed to win over the PC crowd things have started moving forward quite quickly. Back in November we got the announcement that Danganronpa Another Episode: Ultra Despair Girls will be coming to PC in Q2 2017, and already we have another announcement. This time around its for Danganronpa V3: Killing Harmony which will be coming over to PC and Steam on September 26th.
But first things first, what is the Danganronpa series all about? In the most basic terms the Danganronpa games are a hybrid between murder mystery visual novels and classic adventure games, though with far more insanity thrown into the mix as the main antagonist is an evil teddy bear. It sounds incredibly silly, and honestly it really is, but Danganronpa manages to take the concept and run with it.
Mass Effect: Andromeda's latest video is focused on discovery and exploration
- By Ash
- in News
After the completely inconsequential 'exploration' in Mass Effect 2 and 3 you'll be glad to hear that Bioware is taking Mass Effect: Andromeda in a much more interesting direction. Instead of fiddling with a scanner from the safety of your ship you will be able to take your Nomad rover down onto the planet's surface and see what there is to see for yourself. As a result of this there will be a lot less planets to visit, but each of them will have a lot more unique places to explore, and not just one research base the story takes place in.
If you're wondering what all of this might look like in gameplay terms, you'll find the recently posted "Exploration & Discovery" video down below. And don't worry about spoilers as all of the story content has been cut out of the video, so you'll only get a few brief glimpses at the overall narrative. Anyway, have a look:
Overwatch devs have released player skill and rank distributions for Season 3
- By Ash
- in News
There are plenty of websites out there that will give you a rough estimate of where you belong when compared to the rest of the playerbase. If you are relatively high ranked chances are these leaderboards will be fairly accurate, but for everyone else they are highly unreliable due to the simple fact that lower ranked players will usually not go and check their stats on a frequent basis. As such, for the past two seasons we could pretty much only guess how the players are distributed throughout Overwatch's various ranks.
Well, the time for guesswork is now finally over as Blizzard's Principal Designer Scott Mercer has come out to reveal the exact percentages for Season 3. What might come as the biggest surprise is the simple fact that if you have a maximum skill rating of 2350, you have a higher SR than 50% of the population! You can find the full post over at the Overwatch forums, but here are the most interesting bits:
Styx: Shards of Darkness' latest trailer features some co-op action and a plenty of terrible one-liners
- By Ash
- in News
Styx: Shards of Darkness is an upcoming stealth game heavily inspired by the Thief series. As you can probably guess from that comparison alone this means it features plenty of open-ended levels crawling with guards and other dangers, a variety of weapons and tools to either dispatch or bypass them, as well as stealth mechanics that reward patience over all-out aggression. But while the Thief series was always focused around singleplayer, Styx: Shards of Darkness will also have co-op!
So if you're interested in what sneaking around with a friend looks like, you'll find the recently posted video down below. Before you dive in, however, just bear in mind that the video features a ridiculous amount of equally ridiculous one-liners, so don't feel bad if you simply need to mute the whole thing. Anyway, here's the video:
