- in News
Life is Strange: Before the Storm is a prequel to the original game set three years before Max returned to Arcadia Bay. As you might expect, you'll be taking on the role of Chloe Price as you explore her unlikely friendship with Rachel Amber, although there will also be a small bonus episode covering Max's initial departure. On a slight side note, it is important to mention that Before the Storm is not being made by the original developers as they are currently busy with the upcoming vampire RPG Vampyr.
If you're now wondering whether Before the Storm can live up to the original, and what exactly it even has to offer, you'll find the most recent gamescom trailer right below. It mostly covers Chloe and Rachel's relationship, though there are brief glimpses at various other events and side-stories. Have a look:
Final Fantasy XV is coming to PC in early 2018 along with all of the DLC and a new first-person mode
- By Ash
- in News
Back in April of 2016 Final Fantasy XV's director said that he was very excited about making a PC version, but that he couldn't promise anything given how much work still needed to be done for the console release. Furthermore, he stated if his team ever gets the chance to create a PC version of Final Fantasy XV they would make sure its more than a simple port.
As you'll see in the recently posted announcement, he was not joking! Final Fantasy XV will be coming to PC with support for 4K resolutions and HDR 10, as well as graphical options that can be configured to support resolutions up to a rather ridiculous 8K! Besides the graphical improvements, Final Fantasy XV will be arriving on PC with all of the free updates and paid DLC bundled together, as well as with a brand new first-person mode that lets you explore the world through Noctis's eyes.

Earlier this week Blizzard released two new trailers for Overwatch, one a brief cinematic featuring Junkrat & Roadhog, and the other a preview for the upcoming payload map Junkertown. And just a few moments ago they have released yet another video, this time around the much rumored cinematic short starring Mei... and yes, its quite a-Mei-zing!
So if you don't mind taking a bit of time away from the apocalyptic wastes of Australia, you'll find the most recent cinematic short "Rise and Shine" right below. I would fully recommend you give it a look because Blizzard's cinematic department is one of the very best in the entire gaming industry. Have a gander:
Fe is a newly announced and rather beautiful adventure game with a focus on exploration
- By Ash
- in Indie Games
Given how many absolutely enormous franchises they have under their wing I certainly did not expect EA to announce that they are publishing a small indie game, but that's exactly what they're doing with Fe. The details are still in short supply, but what I can tell you is that Fe will be an adventure/exploration game set amidst a rather beautiful Nordic forest full of colorful critters and unseen dangers. In order to bring the forest back to its former glory you will need to unravel the mysteries of the Silent Ones, run, jump and glide from location to location, as well as use stealth and agility to escape your hungry pursuers.
If you're wondering what all of this might look like in gameplay terms, wonder no more as gamescom 2017 has brought with it a brief yet detailed trailer showcasing everything Fe has to offer. Have a look, its quite a sight to behold:
Need For Speed Payback now has a new trailer showcasing a "Most Wanted" inspired cop chase
- By Ash
- in News
During the initial Need for Speed Payback reveal EA announced that it will be taking heavy inspiration from one of the most popular games in the series - Most Wanted. Very little has been said about it since then, but if the latest teaser trailer is any indicator they have definitely gone in the right direction with Payback.
While the video itself does not feature any actual gameplay, it will give you a pretty damn good glimpse at what sort of style Need for Speed Payback is aiming for, and more importantly, how it compares to the fan-favorite Most Wanted. Without further ado, here's the gamescom trailer:
Moons of Madness is an upcoming Lovecraft-inspired psychological horror set on the planet Mars
- By Ash
- in Indie Games
Like the vast majority of horror games these days, Moons of Madness is a first-person psychological horror inspired by Lovecraft's specific brand of cosmic monstrosities. Where things start getting interesting, however, is in the setting! Instead of the usual dark crypt or decrepit castle, Moons of Madness takes place on a scientific outpost on the planet Mars.
If you're wondering how exactly this setting would work in a horror game, and more importantly what Moons of Madness even looks like, you'll find your answers in one of the most recent trailers down below. Have a look, its quite intriguing:
Destiny 2's launch trailer has arrived with flashy combat and a brief overview of the story
- By Ash
- in News
One of the biggest complaints people had with Destiny was the fairly generic and misguided storyline. A real shame since the lore itself was extremely interesting, yet none of it was present in game - you had to go to a website in order to even access it! Thankfully, Bungie has already confirmed that they have learned their lesson and that Destiny 2's story will be much more cohesive and... well, sensible!
While the recently posted launch trailer does not reveal any of the important story elements, it does showcase enough of the overall plot to give you a general idea of who you are, who you're going to be fighting, and what exactly the 'big bad' is trying to ruin everything for. If you don't really care about the storyline and just want to see giant aliens get shot in the face, worry not as the trailer has plenty of that as well. Have a look:
