The bright and colorful JRPG Atelier Lydie & Suelle has now arrived on PC, PS4 and Switch

Atelier Lydie & Suelle: The Alchemists and the Mysterious Painting, besides being a ridiculously long title, is a cutesy JRPG that will have you wonder across the world in search of rare ingredients and items with which you can enhance your weapons or drastically change the course of each battle. If you've played any of the untold Atelier games then the concept should be immediately familiar.
Speaking of which, you might be glad to hear that the protagonists from the previous Atelier Sophie and Atelier Firis will also be making an appearance. As such, you can expect to see Sophie, Plachta, Firis and Liana help out the titular twins Lydie and Suelle in their efforts to uncover the secrets behind a strange-looking painting. Along the way you'll meet new characters, visit a colorful and somewhat alien new world, and naturally, collect tons upon tons of alchemical reagents.
Battlerite devs have detailed the abilities and talents of the upcoming paladin-like champion Ulric

[Update]: Ulric has now been unleashed, and so far he seems to be pretty dang powerful!
Tomorrow's Battlerite update will bring with it a brand new melee support, a paladin-inspired champion by the name of Ulric. As you might imagine given his theme, Ulric is going to be a sturdy champion that's all about protecting his allies and disrupting those that would try and harm them.
If this sounds like the type of playstyle you'd like mess around with, you'll be glad to hear that Stunlock Studios have now detailed all of his abilities (including their damage and healing numbers), as well as all of the battlerites you'll be able to choose from. You can find the full list, as well as some information about the upcoming Patch 1.5 itself, by heading over to the official website.
The robot-building hack and slash "New Gundam Breaker" will be coming to PC and PS4 on June 22nd

[Update]: A bit of a correction. The PC version of New Gundam Breakers will not be coming on June 22nd, but rather on September 25th. Sorry about the confusion!
If you don't have the disposable income to afford a constant influx of Gundam models to toy around with, you'll be glad to hear that the robot-building hack and slash New Gundam Breaker has now been confirmed for both PC and PS4. You can expect it to arrive worldwide on June 22nd, though it's important to mention that the PC version will be digital-only.
As for the gameplay itself, it's pretty much exactly what you would think. You'll need to blast through enemy Gunplas (essentially model kits) in order to collect their weapons and armor, after which you will be able to extensively customize and decorate your very own murder-bot and unleash even greater devastation!
If you ever get tired of beating up bots, there will also be a story campaign and a brand new 3v3 'co-op' mode that will task you with collecting the most parts in order to secure your team's victory. A fairly simple concept, but let's be honest, we're all here to watch our little robots tear each other limb from limb!

If you were hoping to get your hands on Pillars of Eternity 2: Deadfire this April 3rd, I'm afraid I have some bad news. In order to ensure that they have enough time to polish up all of the content and fix any bugs that might pop up, the developers have recently announced that Pillars of Eternity 2 has been delayed until May 8th. The console versions are still set to arrive at some point towards the end of 2018, though no release date has been given for them just yet.
While I can't do much to help that extra month pass by quickly, I can share with you the recently posted gameplay trailer. It features player-controlled ships, exploration on both land and sea, a variety of battles against all sorts of enemies, as well as a gigantic dragon! So if you're up for a bit of a sneak peek at what Pillars of Eternity 2 will have to offer, you'll find the video right below:
The brutal first-person shooter The Darkness 2 is free on Humble Bundle for the next ~37 hours

If you're itching for some quality FPS action, you might be interested to hear that the brutal yet highly entertaining The Darkness 2 is currently completely free. All you need to do is head on over to the Humble Bundle website and go through the 'purchasing' process, after which The Darkness 2 will be yours to keep. This promotion will only last for another ~37 hours, or until supplies last, so I would recommend you go and grab it as soon as you can!
As for whether it's actually worth the trouble, I would say the answer is a resounding yes. It's a little bit on the short side, but the completely over-the-top violence is so well done it's simply a joy to play. It's also important to mention that The Darkness 2 has been made by Digital Extremes, the folks behind the immensely popular Warframe, which should tell you enough about the how good the combat truly is.
PUBG devs will soon be adding weapons skins, as well as testing region-locked servers

[Update]: It took over four years, but PUBG has now gone free-to-play on all platforms.
As you're probably well aware, PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds has quickly become one of the most popular games out there. While that is definitely a positive thing, it's global playerbase has also resulted in numerous problems, most notably the lag issues that can cause characters to transcend beyond space and time with each step, thus making them nearly impossible to bring down. In order to finally sort this problem out, developer PUBG Corp is now looking towards region-locking servers!
We are always working towards improving the gameplay environment. This includes providing stable network experience for our players," the developers said in a brief announcement on Steam. "You all know that we have implemented ping based matchmaking system that has shown great results but we didn't want to stop there."
"One of the solutions we are considering is operating servers so that only those players who reside in that region can connect and play. These servers will be made invisible to players residing in other regions. But, at the same time, if a player in an exclusive server region forms a team with a player from another region, they can connect to and play on any of the servers available to either of them."
The PC and PS4 action-RPG God Eater 3 now has a new trailer showing off one of the bigger monsters

During the recent celebration of God Eater's 8th anniversary Bandai Namco revealed that the upcoming action-RPG God Eater 3 will be coming to PC and PS4. Perhaps most importantly, they also shared a considerable amount of gameplay footage, though most of it was disjointed given that the developers were constantly stopping to explain all of the mechanics and weapons. This might seem amazing on first glance, but unfortunately the entire stream was in Japanese, so unless you can speak the language you're going to find yourself constantly fast-forwarding in order to get to the bits you can actually understand.
With that in mind, I am happy to say that Bandai Namco has now released a brand new and fairly condensed gameplay trailer. It's still entirely in Japanese, but thankfully beating up giant demon-monsters with oversized weaponry tends to translate over quite well! So if you're interested in seeing what God Eater 3 is all about, here's the trailer:
