Overwatch devs have begun teasing some of the major cosmetics from the upcoming Halloween Terror event

[Update #3]: I've now also added a teaser for Pharah's Enchanted Armor skin, McCree's Undead skin, as well as Wrecking Ball's genuinely amazing Jack-o-lantern skin. You'll find them down below, along with all of the other newly revealed cosmetics.
Overwatch's Halloween Terror event is set to arrive this October 9th, bringing with it the Junkenstein's Revenge PvE mode, a whole assortment of new and old cosmetics, as well as spookier versions of some of the current maps. If you were hoping for something completely out of the ordinary, I'm afraid I'll have to disappoint you as Blizzard is keeping this event fairly light, though there will be a brand new boss in Junkenstein's Revenge, as well as a newly reskinned map to keep us occupied.
As for the cosmetics themselves, Blizzard has now finally started releasing brief teasers for them, all of which you will find right below. The quality of the images and videos is unfortunately a bit low as Twitter has compressed them heavily, but it should still be enough to give you a general idea of what to expect from each skin. Once more cosmetics are revealed I'll make sure to update the list, but for now, have a look at what's coming with this year's Halloween Terror:
GOG are celebrating their 10th anniversary with a Shadow Warrior 2 giveaway

- in News
GOG, formerly known as Good Old Games, are currently celebrating a rather impressive milestone that is undoubtedly going to make some of you feel very, very old - their 10th anniversary! And in order to get everyone into the festive spirit, GOG are also currently giving away the co-op focused shooter Shadow Warrior 2 for free.
The only catch is that I am unfortunately a bit late with this announcement, meaning that the whole promotion is set to end in a mere 15 hours. So if you're even remotely curious, head on over to GOG and grab yourself a copy. Once you claim it you'll be able to play Shadow Warrior 2 whenever you want, so don't worry about having to install it right now or anything like that.
Vermintide 2 devs will soon be implementing a way to craft specific Veteran (Red) items
- By Ash
- in News
As I've mentioned throughout my review, Vermintide 2 is an immensely enjoyable game that is unfortunately being held back by an overly grindy and ridiculously random loot system. If you're wondering just how grindy we're talking about, let's just say that I've played Vermintide 2 for hundreds of hours and I still don't have any of my favorite cosmetics, namely Kerillian's red dual daggers and Shade's skull mask.
While the cosmetic hats still remain about as rare as pure gold, I am very happy to announce that Fatshark will soon be implementing a way to craft specific veteran/red items. No details have been given just yet, but after the most recent update the option to salvage red items has been disabled, indicating that they are working on some sort of 'red dust' system to complement the already existing crafting methods.
Darksiders 3 trailer shows off Fury's face-smashing and hammer-wielding Force Hollow transformation
- By Ash
- in News
After quite a long and arduous wait, the Darksiders series will finally be returning this November 27th for PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4. As you're probably well aware at this point, Darksiders 3 will have us follow Fury on her quest to reunite the Horsemen once more, all the while beating down all sorts of monsters, demons and angels that might foolishly stand in her way.
While your primary means of doing so will be with the business end of a giant whip, there will also be numerous transformations that grand you unique powers and weapons to toy around with. One of these transformation is the rather ominously named Force Hollow, which not only gives Fury magnetic powers, but also a gigantic hammer to smash enemies into tiny little pieces!

As the name itself would imply, this bundle is filled to the brim with games that have achieved the truly impressive Overwhelmingly Positive rating on Steam, games like SOMA, Nuclear Throne or LISA.
Rather than babble on, allow me to share with you the full list of games, as well as the pricing tier they appear in. Have a gander:
Overwatch's annual Halloween Terror event will be arriving this October 9th for both PC and consoles
- By Ash
- in News
After the somewhat disappointing Summer Games, Overwatch will soon have another chance to impress the playerbase as the Halloween Terror event has now been pinned for October 9th. You can expect to see a return of the Junkenstein's Revenge PvE mode (alongside some minor improvements), a variety of new cosmetics to collect, as well as spooky versions of some of the current maps.
While no details have been given just yet, one of the recent leaks has revealed the six heroes that are likely to receive the most impressive cosmetics this time around. Those heroes are rumored to be: Hammond or Roadhog, Moira, Reinhardt, Genji, Soldier and Sombra. However, while the leak appears to be extremely credible, I would still suggest you don't get too excited... just in case.
Gwent's lengthy and story-focused singleplayer campaign Thronebreaker is arriving on October 23rd for PC
- By Ash
- in News
Gwent's story-focused singleplayer campaign Thronebreaker was originally supposed to arrive last year, but due to some unfortunate development issues it ended up getting delayed time and time again. Thankfully, the wait is now well and truly over as the newly rebranded Thronebreaker: The Witcher Tales will be unleashed this October 23rd for PC, while the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One version will follow on December 4th.
I won't go into any specifics in order to avoid potential spoilers, but what I can tell you is that Thronebreaker's story will follow the warrior-queen Meve as she is forced to go on a warpath due to the imminent Nilfgaardian invasion and dissent from within. Expect to see mature storytelling in the vein of The Witcher 3, as well as plenty of exploration, unique puzzles, and brand new card mechanics to toy around with. CDPR has been working on this one for quite a while, so they really have packed in pretty much everything that could fit!
