[Update #2]: It took a while, but the enhanced version of the Final Fantasy VII Remake has now landed onto PC!
[Update]: Square Enix has announced that Final Fantasy VII will only be a PlayStation exclusive until 2021!
After being announced years ago and going through what appears to be a troubled development, Final Fantasy VII's remake has emerged completely unscarred. In fact, even that is an understatement as the newly released Tokyo Game Show gameplay footage is looking downright amazing!
Since there is no better way to showcase this than by simply letting you see it on your own, allow me to share with you the recently posted and fairly lengthy in-game trailer. Have a gander, it really is impressive:
Rage 2's very first expansion Rise of the Ghosts is coming this September 26th

While Rage 2 may have ended up being a bit of a disappointment, it will soon have a chance to redeem itself. And I really do mean soon, as Rage 2's Rise of the Ghosts expansion will be coming to both PC and consoles on September 26th!
Rise of the Ghosts will bring with it a large new region to explore, as well as the titular Ghosts as a brand new faction to square off against. You'll also be able to unlock a new weapon and ability, as well as 'borrow' one of the Ghost's fancy motorcycles in order to make transportation a bit more interesting.
Humble Bundle's newest RPG-focused bundle features both Pillars of Eternity and Tyranny

If you're itching for some interesting (and lengthy) RPGs to sink your teeth into, you might want to check out the currently ongoing Humble Bundle. Among other things, it features Obsidian's Pillars of Eternity and Tyranny, as well as the Borderlands: Game of the Year Enhanced for those of you that are more multiplayer-inclined.
The bundle will stick around for another ~12 days, so should have plenty of time to make a decision on whether any of the games are up your alley. Personally, and you can probably already guess this given that it's in the title, I would highly recommend both Pillars of Eternity and Tyranny if you're into classic RPGs. They may be a little bit janky when it comes to the combat mechanics, but their stories and characters are highly intriguing, and well worth checking out while they're this cheap.
Celeste's free Chapter 9 update has now added a whole bunch of challenging new levels to explore

Celeste was originally going to get a couple of new levels in early 2019 in order to celebrate the momentous 500,000 copies sold milestone. However, as the developers continued to work on the free DLC, it quickly became obvious that this one is going to be a little bit more than just a "couple" of new levels.
If you're now wondering just how much the project ballooned out of control, you might be shocked to hear that Celeste's free Chapter 9 update has just arrived with over 100 new levels! Naturally, these aren't fully-fledged and absolutely gigantic levels, but rather screens filled with puzzles and obstacle courses. Even so, there is still a ton of new content to mess around with!
Capcom's upcoming Project Resistance is a 4v1 asymmetrical multiplayer game

[Update]: Resident Evil 3 has been announced, and it will come bundled with a 'free' copy of Resident Evil Resistance!
It would appear that the recent rumors were completely true. Not only is Capcom looking to create a multiplayer-focused Resident Evil spin-off, but they're also aiming to have it be an asymmetrical PvP affair, somewhat similar to games like Dead by Daylight.
How Project Resistance works is fairly simple. The mastermind player acts as a sort of dungeon master by placing enemies and setting up traps, all in order to bring down the four survivors and foil their plans. On the other side of the coin, each of the four survivors has to make good use of their unique abilities and strengths in order to help their allies and beat back the zombie hordes, as well as complete a variety of objectives in order to escape from the mastermind's clutches.
Vermintide 2 is getting three reworked (and free) levels from the original's Drachenfels DLC

[Update #2]: The second of the new map trilogy, Blood in the Darkness, is set to arrive mid-February as a free update.
[Update]: The first of the three new maps will be going into open beta on December 16th!
Vermintide 2's Winds of Magic expansion has only just launched, and already Fatshark has come out to announce that there is even more content on the horizon. As a part of the upcoming Season 2, we will be getting three reworked and entirely free levels from the original's Drachenfels DLC. The first of these levels will be released at the start of Season 2, while the other two will be sprinkled throughout the season.
When exactly Season 2 will arrive, I'm afraid Fatshark hasn't said, but what they have revealed is a new in-game shop for cosmetics - Lohner’s Emporium of Wonders. Most of the items will be purchasable through in-game currency earned from Daily and Weekly missions, though there will also be cosmetics that are only purchasable with real money. A little bit scary given Vermintide 2's current lack of quality cosmetics, but I suppose it's a small price to pay for continued support and free maps.
Total War: Warhammer 2's Lizardmen and Empire focused DLC has now arrived

[Update]: The latest patch has now corrected the multiplayer crashing problems, as well as significantly nerfed the Empire's Markus Wulfhart.
If you're looking for an excuse to take Total War: Warhammer 2 for another spin, you might be glad to hear that The Hunter & The Beast DLC has now arrived. It brings with it a brand new Legendary Lord for the Lizardmen (Nakai the Wanderer) and Empire (Markus Wulfhart), a variety of fancy new units, new regiments of renown, and perhaps most importantly, new campaign mechanics for both factions to explore.
As for what exactly the DLC is themed after, that you will find out through the recently posted launch trailer. Have a peek, it'll give you some much-needed context:
