World of Warcraft's most-elusive and musical secret - Jenafur - has now been solved

[Update]: World of Warcraft's Shadowlands expansion will allow secondary characters to skip the story bits!
Despite being presented with some of the most obscure secrets I've ever seen, the World of Warcraft community has triumphed time and time again. Sometimes it would take a couple of months if the clues were particularly devious, but with hundreds of players working on each puzzle there was always steady progress forward, and the sense that the solution is just around the corner.
This, however, did not apply to Jenafur - the fluffy feline friend first introduced with Patch 8.2.5. Once it became clear that there was a puzzle that needed solving, the World of Warcraft community once again quickly figured out where the puzzle starts, combined breadcrumbs in order to make a map that leads to Kharazan, and eventually even realized that the solution has something to do with music. And then they hit a wall, and a really big one at that!
Ubisoft has once again reaffirmed they're still hard at work on the pirate-themed Skull & Bones

[Update #2]: Skull and Bones has been delayed yet again, though this time we have an actual release date - March 9th, 2023!
[Update]: Skull & Bones has been delayed for the fourth consecutive year, this time around until 2022-23.
Even though it seems like a distant memory at this point, Skull & Bones was originally going to be a competitor to Sea of Thieves. However, while Sea of Thieves has already been released and patched time and time again, Skull & Bones seems to be just as distant as it ever was.
While I would love to tell you that Ubisoft has now finally spilled the beans and revealed the new and improved Skull & Bones, I'm afraid we're still in the dark on that front. It's not all bad news, however, as Ubisoft has recently come out to reaffirm that they are still hard at work on making Skull & Bones happen!
Total War: Troy update has improved performance and nerfed both chariots and army-destroying spies

[Update #2]: Total War: Troy's Amazons DLC has now landed, and it's about as fun as you'd expect.
[Update]: Total War: Troy's Amazons DLC is charging in on September 24th and will be free for two weeks!
If you've been playing Total War: Troy over the past few weeks, it's highly likely you've noticed just how much stronger chariots are than most units. Not only are they fast enough to catch even the lightest of enemies, but they're also powerful enough that almost nothing can withstand their charge. If played well, a group of chariots can almost singlehandedly route half of the enemy army, which is obviously far from ideal.
However, no matter how powerful chariots are, the spies are by far the strongest units in the entirety of Troy. After unlocking all of the damaging traits, one spy action can absolutely decimate a major city's garrison, thus making it easy pickings for even mediocre armies. And I'm not exaggerating here either - we're talking about the spies killing more than 50% of the fully upgraded garrison in the span of a single second!
Overwatch has heavily nerfed Roadhog's damage and standardized the spread of all shotguns

[Update #2]: Overwatch experimental update has transformed McCree into a bit of an acrobat, as well as buffed Roadhog's hook combo!
[Update]: Overwatch has added a brand new Tracer comic and accompanying in-game event!
Ever since his damage buff, Roadhog has become nearly omnipresent in Competitive Play, all the while maintaining a worryingly high win percentage. It was plain and obvious from the first week that he's going to get nerfed, and so it shouldn't come as too much of a surprise to hear that said nerf has now finally arrived.
The newest update has reduced the damage of each projectile from Roadhog's Scrap Gun from 7 to 6, meaning he deals 150 total per shot. This might not sound like a massive change, but it's worth mentioning that this brings Roadhog back to his previous state where he was considered incredibly weak, and this is on top of the nerfed fire rate and clip size from the previous set of balance changes.
Vermintide 2 update has brought in some long-requested quality of life improvements

[Update #2]: Vermintide 2's Chaos Wastes expansion will be launching this April 2021 on PC!
[Update]: Vermintide is celebrating its 5-year anniversary with a massive rat-slaying event.
While Vermintide 2 is a phenomenal game when you're out in the field slaying ratmen by the thousands, things quickly break down when you have to do any sort of item crafting. Not only is the process exceedingly random, but it's littered with so many unnecessary animations that you can end up spending 20 minutes just trying to get a pair of weapons up to standard.
Thankfully, this nightmare has now come to an end as the newly launched Patch 3.2 has brought in some awesome quality of life changes. For example, the end-of-round screen can now be skipped in order to get back into the action as quickly as possible, while the loot boxes themselves can now be rapidly opened and their animations almost entirely skipped.
Crusader Kings 3 has arrived with even more scheming and treachery than before

[Update #2]: Paradox's next big grand strategy game, Victoria 3, will be launching on October 25th.
[Update]: Crusader Kings 3 will be doubling the price of its smaller DLC packs on September 13th, 2022.
If you're in the mood for a bit of scheming, murder, treachery and occasionally pretending you're trying to actually rule a country, you'll be happy to hear that Crusader Kings 3 has now arrived. Much like it's predecessor, Crusader Kings 3 is a grand strategy game that allows you to follow one dynasty through the ages as they amass power, conquer new lands, and then lose it all in a series of increasingly ridiculous and 'fool-proof' maneuvers.
All of this does come with one rather major downside, the same one that follows all of Paradox's grand strategy games - the barrier to entry is quite high. Unless you have experience with the genre, it'll likely take you a fair few hours to get the hang of everything, and then even more hours before you can start going off-script and creating silly scenarios for yourself.

[Update #2]: Assassin's Creed Valhalla has now arrived, and unsurprisingly, it's pretty good.
[Update]: Ubisoft has now detailed the PC system requirements for Assassin's Creed Valhalla.
While most games are being delayed these days due to the ongoing pandemic, Ubisoft has decided to take a bit of a different route with Assassin's Creed Valhalla. Instead of launching on November 17th as previously planned, Valhalla will be landing on November 10th alongside the Xbox Series X.
Naturally, this new release date includes all of the different versions. So regardless if you're planning to play on Xbox One or Series X, PlayStation 4, PC or even Google Stadia, Valhalla will be fully available on November 10th.
