Horizon Zero Dawn PC Update 1.07 has fixed anisotropic filtering and shader optimization

[Update]: Horizon Zero Dawn's newest update has brought in even more crash fixes and optimizations.
When Horizon Zero Dawn arrived onto PC back in August, it was a bit of a mess. Crashes were frequent and the performance was incredibly spotty, which combined with the and the plethora of quality of life problems, made playing Horizon Zero Dawn in the first few weeks a bit of a nightmare.
Thankfully, Guerrilla Games quickly set out to patch the PC version, and have over the course of a few months managed to correct pretty much all of the gamebreaking issues. The only problems that remain now are fairly minor in the grand scheme of things, but even so, I'm happy to say Update 1.07 has now arrived to correct a few more of them.
World of Warcraft will soon start issuing bans for multiboxing and automated gameplay

[Update]: Blizzard has now adopted a much, much harsher stance towards multiboxing.
For as long as I've been playing World of Warcraft, Blizzard has followed one steadfast rule when it comes to gameplay modification: one click equals one action. The reason, as you might imagine, is to prevent automation and actually make people play the game in a way that's both fun and fair for everyone involved.
However, despite this being a long-standing rule, Blizzard has always turned a blind eye towards multiboxing - the process of mirroring keystrokes from one account to another in order to control an entire army of characters that can all move and act in perfect unison. That is, until today.

[Update #2]: Apex Legends is bringing in massive and positive changes to the controversial Battle Pass.
[Update]: Apex Legends has now landed onto Steam alongside the massive Season 7 update, though not without major problems.
As far as the sheer amount of content goes, Apex Legends' upcoming Season 7 update is set to be one of the biggest the game has ever seen. You can expect to see the floating city of Olympus as a brand new map to mess up, a new gravity-bending legend by the name of Horizon, as well as the very first and squad-based transport vehicle - the Trident.
Season 7 will also bring with it the introduction of a guild/club system, an assortment of balance changes, a new battle pass filled with cosmetics, and naturally, a fresh new ranked season to participate in. Long story short, it really is going to be a rather chunky update!
After two sets of delays, Dirt 5 is set to launch this November 6th

Like a good chunk of games this year, Dirt 5 has had to adjust its release date multiple times in order to account for the pandemic messing everything up. So instead of launching on October 9th as originally planned, the release date ended up being pushed back to October 16th, and then to November 6th quickly after.
Thankfully, there is a happy ending to this whole story. Not only is Dirt 5 now fully on track to launch this November 6th, but pretty much all of the reviews so far seem to be positive! So if you're in a bit of a racing mood, you might want to keep an eye on Dirt 5.

[Update]: BlizzCon Online schedule has now been revealed, and sadly Overwatch 2 won't have much of a presence.
As you might expect given the currently ongoing pandemic, Blizzard has canceled their annual Blizzcon convention for this year. Instead, they will be switching to a fully online version with pretty much the same amount of announcements, previews, developer panels and fan contests.
The good news doesn't end there, however, as Blizzard's president J. Allen Brack has now come out to announce that Blizzcon Online will be entirely free to watch! So whether you're in it for the big announcements or some of the more technical developer interviews, you'll be able to view all of them without having to pay for a virtual ticket.
MTG Arena's historic Kaladesh Remastered set is coming next week

[Update #2]: MTG Arena's viking themed expansion Kaldheim is launching on January 28, 2021.
[Update]: The Kaladesh Remastered set has now arrived with plenty of Artifacts in tow.
When it comes to MTG Arena's competitive modes, there are two main formats: Standard and Historic. Standard consists only of the most recent sets and is usually a bit lower in power and easier to enter as a beginner, while the Historic format draws from the entire pool of MTG Arena cards, which as you might imagine, means it's the home of the most streamlined and bombastic decks out there.
With that little bit of explanation now out of the way, I'm happy to say that the pool of Historic cards will soon be expanding even further! As a part of its remastered series, MTG Arena will be getting the massive Kaladesh Remastered set this November 12th.

If you're looking for something short and interesting to occupy your time, I'm pleased to say that I bring good news. The indie management/strategy game Kingdom: Classic is currently entirely free to grab over at the Humble Store, and it will remain like that for another six days.
As for the actual gameplay, Kingdom: Classic is all about establishing and keeping your little kingdom safe. You'll need to hire a bunch of soldiers and workers, construct layered defenses and invest your hard-earned gold into infrastructure, and then once night comes, hunker down and survive the relentless hordes that will crash against your walls.
