Lawbreakers artwork of one of the characters

LawBreakers is a fast-paced arena shooter that seems to have a very casual relationship with physics and common sense. What this means in gameplay terms is that LawBreakers has some unique movement mechanics that allow you to zip around the battlefield at high speeds, as well as a variety of weapons with which you can humiliate your opponents while dancing through the skies.

Since trying to figure out whether an arena shooter is good or not from its description alone is almost impossible, you'll be glad to hear that the developers are currently running an Open Beta. Simply head over to Steam, click that giant green "Install Game" button and you'll be playing in no time. Just keep in mind that the Open Beta event will end on July 5th at 9am PDT, so try not wait for too long as you might just miss your chance.

As far as new features are concerned, the Open Beta has brought with it a brand new map by the name of Vertigo, as well as Uplink - a new game mode that combines both Capture the Flag and Control Point elements. And if you enjoy making your weapons as gaudy as possible, make sure to at least play five matches in the Open Beta as that will give you access to an exclusive weapon sticker.

To learn more I would recommend heading over to the official website. If you're just interested in the release date, however, you can expect to see LawBreakers on August 8th for both the PC and PS4. And finally, here's a highlight video from this year's PAX East. It should give you a good idea of what LawBreakers is all about. Enjoy!
