Yooka-Laylee screenshot featuring the Glitterglaze Glacier

For those of you that might not know, Yooka-Laylee is an open-world platformer and collectathon hybrid from the people that brought you Banjo-Kazooie and Donkey Kong Country games. As you might imagine from that pedigree alone Yooka-Laylee is full of interesting areas to explore, charming characters to meet, and obscene amount of collectables to obsess over.

If you're wondering what all of this might look like in action you'll find a brief teaser for the Glitterglaze Glacier zone down below. The video doesn't show much in terms of straight up gameplay, but the few glimpses it does feature should be enough to give you a good idea of what Yooka-Laylee is all about. Anyway, here's the video:

If these types of preview videos are to your liking, you'll be glad to hear that the developers have also released one for the Capital Cashino zone. You can find it by heading over here, and do make sure to turn up your volume as this video features a lot more in-game sounds and music.

On the other hand, if you would like to give Yooka-Laylee a try for yourself I'm afraid you're going to have to wait until April 11th. On the positive side, it will be arriving for pretty much every platform: PC, Linux, Mac, PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch, though this version is coming a bit later. To learn more I would recommend heading over to either the official website or one of the earlier developer walkthroughs. And finally, here's just a couple of images from the Glitterglaze Glaciers:
