[Update]: A brand new Worms game has now been announced - Worms 2020.

Worms W.M.D in its current state features around 80 weapons, some of them new, and some of them lifted straight from the old school classic Worms: Armageddon. But if that just doesn't sound like enough, you'll be glad to hear that the upcoming update will bring even more of them.

The rather oddly named "The Liberation", oddly named for a game that revolves mostly around blowing up both friend and foe anyway, will bring with it four new weapons, as well as a new vehicle in the form of the drillboat... I'm sure you can guess what that one does. There's also going to be a couple of new singleplayer maps to test your worm-slaying abilities, and for those of you that prefer to play worm dress up instead, there are also 12 new customization items to make your troops the easiest target prettiest in all the land.

You can expect to be liberated at some point later today, December 7th, though I'm afraid I can't offer you a specific hour just yet. But on the positive side, I can tell you that "The Liberation" update will be completely free for both the PC and consoles. So have fun... and do try to not explode yourself!
