Vermintide DLC Drachenfels

Warhammer: End Times - Vermintide Drachenfels, besides being nearly unpronounceable, is a brand new DLC for the already excellent co-op shooter/slasher/magicker, and it brings with it a couple of new weapons, deadly traps to watch out for, and best of all, three new levels to explore.

It will set you back $9/€9 on Steam, and if you're looking to a get a sneak peek at some of the new maps and additions here's the recently posted trailer, though its unfortunately rather short:

As for the contents of the DLC, the available information is rather thin so far, so here's the whole blurb that came with the announcement:

Castle Drachenfels - Walk through the ancient rooms of Castle Drachenfels, covered in the blood and bones of the past.

Summoner’s Peak - Foil the Skaven’s plan by destroying the portals and put a halt to their reinforcements.

The Dungeons - Stumble your way through the dark and dingy dungeon of Drachenfels.

Darkness - If you want to survive, a torch will be your stoutest ally.

Traps - Watch your step with this new feature.

Two New Weapons - A vicious two-handed weapon for Kerillian, and a repeater Crossbow for Victor Saltzpyre.

Along with the DLC comes an update that is mostly focused around bug fixes and quality of life changes, so if you're interested in all of the details I'd suggest you head over to the official patch notes.

While I can't tell you if the DLC is worth your time and money I can say that Vermintide itself has been a rather stellar experience. It might seem like a L4D clone at first glance, but the Warhammer theme and various classes are so well executed its hard to not have fun with it, especially if you're playing with friends. Though be warned, it does require a decently powerful PC or you might run into some heavy FPS drops during some of the larger brawls.
