Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered was initially released as a "special bonus" for everyone who purchased the Special Edition of Infinite Warfare. And now, over half a year after the release of Infinite Warfare, it appears that the 'hostage situation' will finally be resolved and Modern Warfare Remastered given a standalone release.

According to the official Twitter the standalone version of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered will be arriving this June 27th, though unfortunately only the PS4 edition has been confirmed so far. Call of Duty has some sort of exclusivity deal with Sony so the PS4 is pretty much always the first platform to receive any new updates, but the PC and Xbox One versions are usually not that far behind, so hopefully the same will apply here.

For those of you interested in learning more about Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered I would suggest paying a visit to the official website, but also reading a couple of reviews given the amount of DLC Activision has put in over the past few months. If you prefer a more visual approach, however, you'll find one of the lengthier gameplay trailers right below. Enjoy!
