[Update]: Trails of Cold Steel has now made its way to PC, and I'm glad to say it has so far recieved overwhelmingly positive reviews!

The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel is a turn-based JRPG with a rather unique idea behind its combat system. Instead of being fully proficient fighters from the get-go, your party will first need to spend some time getting to know each other, as well as bond over various dialogue choices and story events before they are capable of properly supporting each other. So as you get to know your companions better your combined attacks will become increasingly powerful, which I must admit is a rather interesting way to mix combat and storytelling.

If this looks like something you might enjoy you'll be glad to hear that the PC version of The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel will be coming this August 2nd. The exact state of the port hasn't been revealed just yet, but all of the Nihon Falcom games so far have had almost no bugs or issues to speak of, so hopefully the same will apply here as well.
