Agony is an upcoming survival-horror game set in one of the most fitting locations for the genre - an extremely twisted version of hell that greatly reminds me of Warhammer 40,000's Warp. Given the rather... unique circumstances you won't be punching trees and hunting animals in order to survive through Agony. Instead you will need to sneak around hell itself, posses lesser demons in order to bypass obstacles and potential foes, and somehow try to keep your sanity intact despite all of the madness that constantly swirls around you.

If you're wondering what this might look like in gameplay terms, wonder no more as the developers have recently posted a rather lengthy gameplay video. Its about as confusing and twisted as you would expect, but it should give you a good idea of what you're getting into with Agony. Have a look:

While I still have absolutely no idea whether I will enjoy Agony or not, I have to commend the developers for at least trying something new and going a bit "out there" in terms of style. If your interested is as piqued as mine is you'll be glad to hear that Agony will be coming to the PC, PS4, and Xbox One at some point in 2017, though no official release date has been revealed just yet.
