[Update]: Season 3 is now live, and apparently the two episodes are full-sized!

If you were itching to find out what exactly happened after the Season 2 ending of Telltale's The Walking Dead, you'll soon have a chance to do so as Season 3 - A New Frontier is set to arrive within the hour. And best of all, Season 3 will launch with two episodes rather than the usual one, though I'm still not certain if these are proper episodes given that they are called "Ties That Bind Part 1 & 2".

And for those of you wondering what exactly The Walking Dead: A New Frontier will be about, here's the recently posted preview trailer. There are some minor spoilers in there, most notably the reveal of a certain popular character, so if you want to be completely fresh you might want to avoid it. But for the rest of you, here's the video:

After watching that you're probably wondering who in the world is Clementine's companion Javier? Once again, there are some minor spoilers ahead, but if you would like to find out his 'origins' and how he came to learn about the undead menace, head over here. As far as spoiler-free information goes, pretty much the only thing I can tell you is that Javier will be the new protagonist we'll control alongside Clementine.

If you would like to learn more, and ideally read a couple of reviews before opening your wallet, head on over to Steam. Its also worth mention that there is a Steam Winter Sale coming on December 22nd, and even though I doubt The Walking Dead: A New Frontier will be discounted given that its releasing today, it might be worth waiting just in case.
