If you've played through The Walking Dead: Season 2, you're now most likely wondering what in the world is Telltale planning for Season 3. Not only were some of the Season 2 endings quite definitive, they also differed wildly when it comes to outcomes, surviving characters, and even locations.
While I unfortunately can't give you much of an answer to that question, I do bring some good news - Telltale's The Walking Dead: A New Frontier will be arriving for all platforms this November, so you won't have to wait for too long in order to find out what happened. And just in case you missed the relatively recent teaser trailer for Season 3, here it is:
From what is known so far, in Season 3 you will be playing as both Clementine (who is now four years older and missing a finger) and Javier, a brand new character with his own set of hardships to overcome. I would love to tell you more, but I'm afraid that's pretty much it as far as concrete information goes. What I can give you, however, is a couple of quotes from Telltale describing what exactly Season 3 is going to be about:
"This third new season will serve as both a continuation of what's come before in our story, as well as an all-new beginning set nearly four years after the outbreak events of Season One. As a harrowing and horrific drama, 'A New Frontier' will explore beyond what it means to survive in a world ravaged by the undead, and will see our characters confronting the new rules of order and justice in a land being brutally reclaimed and rediscovered by what's left of humanity itself.
When we began this series, we explored what it meant to protect a character like Clementine at all costs. Years later, meeting her for the first time, Javier will begin to unravel the mystery of who Clementine has become, as her story intersects with his - both of them still driven by the things they value most long after society's collapse."
And finally, here's a couple of screenshots that came along with this announcement:
