If you're up for a bit of sneaking around, piloting adorable little drones, and shooting bad guys with a ridiculously high-powered sniper rifle, you'll be glad to hear that the Sniper: Ghost Warrior 3 open beta has now begun. The open beta will run until February 5th, and if you don't already have a key you can grab one by heading over to the official website.

But if you need a bit of a preview before jumping in, allow me to share with you the recently posted open beta trailer. It features way more action than the game itself, but it should still give you a good idea of what you're getting into. Have a look:

I've played the beta for around three hours now, and I have to say I'm actually pretty pleased with it. There are some obvious bugs and hilarious glitches (try crouch-walking up a hill, you'll waddle like a newborn duck), but the overall gameplay is pretty satisfying. There are very few things that feel better than scouting an area with your drone, carefully marking each enemy, and then stealthily making your way through the entire complex without ever being spotted.

So if you're up for a bit of sneaky action I would definitely recommend you give the beta a try - its free after all! And finally, if you're wondering about the release date, Sniper: Ghost Warrior 3 is set to arrive this April 4th for all platforms.
