Despite Heroes of Newerth ending up as a bit of a train wreck I have great respect for S2Games, and especially their RTS/FPS hybrid Savage 2 that was years ahead of its time.

Which is why I'm happy to announce that S2Games are working on a brand new installment of the Savage series. Here's all of the currently known information about Savage 3, and a trailer for Savage 2 so you can get an idea of what its all about:

Most of the information you'll find below comes from the cunning detective work of a forum member called Bullet who went far and wide to suss out any tidbit of information that might be available. So, what do we know about Savage 3?

• Its going to be titled as Savage 3: Ressurection

• Its being made in Unreal Engine

• It will be available on Steam and use VAC as anti-cheat

• 32 player dedicated servers are currently in testing, though this means very little at its current stage in development

• Lost Hills and Eden maps will most likely be returning

• It has been in development since September, or earlier
