After a ridiculous amount of conflicting statements and an equally ridiculous period of complete silence it has finally been confirmed that NieR: Automata will be coming to PC and Steam on March 17th. Unlike the PlayStation 4 version which will arrive on March 7th in North America and March 10th in Europe, the PC version seems to be a simultaneous release for everyone.
Along with the release date the developers also raveled the full system requirements, and you'll be glad to hear that they are quite low by today's standards. Usually you need an i5 CPU or equivalent for minimum settings, but with NieR: Automata an i5 will carry you all the way to "recommended". But enough rambling from me, here's the list:
MINIMUM SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS:
• OS - Windows 7/8.1/10 64 bit
• CPU - Intel Core i3 2100 or AMD A8-6500
• RAM - 4GB
• Graphics - NVIDIA GeForce GTX 770 VRAM 2GB or AMD Radeon R9 270X VRAM 2GB
• DirectX - DirectX 11
• HDD/SSD - 50GB
RECOMMENDED SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS:
• OS - Windows 8.1/10 64 bit
• CPU - Intel Core i5 4670 or AMD A10-7850K
• RAM - 8GB
• Graphics - NVIDIA GeForce GTX 980 VRAM or AMD Radeon R9 380X VRAM 4GB
• DirectX - DirectX 11
• HDD/SSD - 50GB

This one is entirely focused around the various weapons you'll get to use, as well as some of the tactics you'll be able to employ, so it should hopefully give you a good idea of what NieR: Automata is going to be all about on the gameplay level. And finally, here's a couple of the newest images:
