Mirage: Arcane Warfare official promo artwork

Mirage: Arcane Warfare is a spiritual successor to Chivalry: Medieval Warfare where the noble knights and mighty steel blades have been replaced with blithering madmen and copious amounts of magic. And if you're wondering how much of a role magic will play in Mirage, let's just say that even the Taurant - a brute that yells a lot and hits people with a giant mace - has quite a few spells in his arsenal.

If you're interested in seeing what all of this might look like in gameplay terms, allow me to share with you the recently posted teaser trailer that showcases the Taurant in action. All of the footage is from an early alpha version of Mirage, however, so don't be surprised if you catch a couple of awkward animations throughout the video. Anyway, have a look:

While I'm fairly certain you can no longer sign up for the closed alpha, you can at the very least sign up for the upcoming beta. All you need to do is head over to the official website and simply write down your email. Everything else is purely up to random chance, but given how often the developers seem to hold testing events I think its safe to assume you're going to get in eventually.

If you would like to learn more about Mirage you can head over to the official website, and if you're interested in a rather lengthy gameplay presentation you can find it by heading over here. As for the release date, you can expect Mirage to appear at some point in 2017, though no specifics have been given just yet.
