For those of you not in the loop, Vampyr is an upcoming vampire themed RPG from Dontnod, the developers behind Life is Strange and Remember Me. But rather than simply be yet another action adventure, Vampyr is aiming to explore the duality that comes from our protagonist being both a doctor, and a bloodthirsty demon of the night. Dealing with a plague that's sweeping the city is hard enough on its own, but its a lot harder when you have to snack on those you're trying to save in order to not wither and die!

And it is exactly this sort of duality that the most recent teaser trailer showcases by letting us in on the private conversations of the various citizens that inhabit the plague-ridden streets of London. But enough babbling from me, here's the video:

If you're looking for some actual gameplay footage, however, you can find one of the lengthier developer-guided videos by heading over here. It was filmed during the recent E3 and features pretty much everything you might want to see: combat, exploration, sneaking around, special abilities, and even a bit of dialogue. Just do bear in mind that this is pre-alpha gameplay, so don't be surprised if you encounter a glitchy texture or an enemy spazzing out in a hilarious way in the background.

As for the release date, Vampyr is set to arrive at some point in 2017, though no exact date has been given just yet.
