The Witcher 3's Geralt and Yennefer

If you currently have some free time and a bit of extra money, and you would like to completely reverse the situation, you might want to check out the ongoing GOG RPG sale. You can grab Pillars of Eternity, Tyranny, Shadowrun, the old Deus Ex games, and a couple of others at a rather steep discount, but also the Witcher 3: GOTY Edition for 50% off!

While all of these games are great, besides Deus Ex 2: Invisible War anyway, the standout deal of the entire sale is definitely the Witcher 3 and its DLC. It features the very best writing and quest design I've ever seen in an open world game, a genuinely enjoyable story with some likable characters to accompany you, and enough content to make you miss out on the next few months of AAA releases. Long story short, its a damn good game, and if you haven't already played it I would heartily recommend you do just that.

For those of you that just don't know much about the Witcher 3, let alone why I'm foaming on the mouth about it, I would recommend checking out one of my previous articles about why you should try The Witcher 3 - it'll give you a pretty good idea why the Witcher 3 has such a devoted following. And for those of you that prefer a more visual approach, you'll find the cinematic launch trailer right below. It doesn't feature any gameplay, but it sets the mood perfectly. Enjoy!
