For Honor's Samurai fighting a Knight

If you were hoping to engage in some thrilling competitive action in For Honor, I'm afraid I bring some bad news. According to Ubisoft's most recent announcement, For Honor will only be getting ranked play later this year, and until then you'll have to deal with the standard matchmaking.

Ubisoft also revealed the details of the For Honor Season Pass, the most important of which is the inclusion of six new heroes and fancy new outfits with which you can customize them. Besides the six heroes that will be released over the coming months, the Season Pass will also bring with it exclusive emblems, a bunch of crates with in-game gear, a sunbeam effect for all of your emotes, as well as a 30-day XP booster that affects everything from crafting to end-of-match loot.

The For Honor Season Pass doesn't have a set price just yet, but if the Steam storefront is any indicator its going to be either €30 or €40. The reason I say this is because the Standard Edition is €60, while the Season Pass bearing Gold Edition is €90 with the currently ongoing discount, and €100 without it. Whatever the case may be, we at least won't have to wait for long in order to find out as For Honor is set to launch on February 14.

And finally, if you're interested in a little sneak peek at some of the new content Ubisoft plans to release throughout the year, here's the recently posted preview video. You won't find much in terms of details, but its still good to know that For Honor will be well supported even long after launch. Anyway, here's the video:
