Firewatch is coming this February 9th, 4 new trailers released

Firewatch is a visually gorgeous narrative-driven adventure game where you play the role of a park ranger who along with his chatty companion needs to ensure that the entire forest doesn't get consumed in a blazing inferno. A seemingly easy task and one that's perfect for a man who has a book to write but things don't always work out as planned.

To remind everyone of its upcoming February 9 release the developers, Campo Santo, have released not one, not even two but four fancy new trailers showcasing what exactly Firewatch is about. Here they are:

The first one is titled "The June Fire" and details the great fire that occurred in July. If you want that sentence to make any sense to you I'd suggest you watch the trailer first.

The second one is called "Ambiance" and I'm sure you can guess what its about. Firewatch really does look gorgeous so if you're going to watch only one of these videos I'd suggest you make it this one.

The third one, titled "The Shale Slide", is all about the wonderfully named "Cripple Gulch" which is just East of the "Gonna Pee In a Bag Forever Flats", a very romantic hideaway spot.

The fourth and final one is "The Trowel" and its all about poop! Isn't that just wonderful?

You can currently pre-order Firewatch at a 10% discount bringing the price down to $20/18€ or $25/€20,69 if you go for the soundtrack as well. I'm currently in the process of reviewing it and while I can't tell you anything about the game just yet the embargo will be lifted on February 8th so you'll have plenty of time to make up your mind on whether or not its worth pre-ordering.

If you would like some more information on the game the Firewatch website recently got updated with a bunch of story bits and new screenshots so I'd suggest you give it a visit.
