Gwent: The Witcher Card Game entered closed beta a couple of weeks ago, and if you're among the majority that hasn't received their key just yet, worry not as I'm bringing some good news! According to a recent forum post, everyone who signed up for the closed beta in June will be getting their invite by the end of next week.

Naturally, this doesn't mean that the rest of you are out of luck as CDPR is planning to send out even more invites in the weeks that follow, so chances are you won't have to wait for too long in order to get your hands on Gwent. Since the whole announcement is rather brief, here's the full quote:

"Dear gamers,

The Closed Beta for GWENT: The Witcher Card Game started a little over two weeks ago. We know that many of you have been waiting a long time to play GWENT. However, the nature of Closed Beta is that access is limited at first, allowing us to make sure the game is a fun and stable experience. We've been steadily sending out more and more invitations to those of you who registered to participate. By the end of next week, everyone who signed up back in June should have received access and we’ll be sending out even more invitations as we go.

Thank you for your patience and the amazing support you’re giving us."

As for whether Gwent is worth all of the wait, I would say that the answer is a resounding yes for fans of The Witcher 3's card game. You can get far more details by heading over to my beta preview/review, but long story short its a more robust and improved version of Gwent, though it does have a long way to go before I would consider it a proper competitor to Hearthstone. Its definitely worth giving a shot, however, so if you do get a beta key I would recommend you don't squander it.
