Despite American Truck Simulator being the newest game in the series, SCS Software have decided to go back to Euro Truck Simulator 2 and add even more content to it. The appropriately named "Vive la France!" DLC will be bringing with it a huge chunk of France to explore and drive all over, or in trucking terms - 20,000 km of new roads and highways!

If you're interested in what this might look like, here's a rather lengthy trailer showcasing numerous areas of France, as well as a couple of landmarks you might just recognize. Have a look:

Besides all of the new roads and highways, "Vive la France!" will also bring with it numerous new cities and rural villages, and even a graphical overhaul for vegetation and forests. There's also new cargoes to haul (including stuff from nuclear power plants), new companies to work for, and the French tollgate system - which is apparently significant enough to get its own section in the list of features!

And if you're wondering how long you'll have to wait before you to get to cruise through France, the answer might come as a bit of a surprise given that "Vive La France!" is set to arrive on December 5th. Or in other words, a mere six days from now! You can read a little bit more about the whole expansion by heading over to Steam.

As a final note, here's the map of all the cities you'll get to explore, as well as a couple of shiny new images:
