Dying Light's The Following DLC/expansion as well as the Season Pass are due for a price increase on December 8th. The reason being given is a big increase in the scope of the project.

The price for The Following DLC will go up from $15 to $20 while the season pass will go up from $20 to $30. So if you have any interest in Dying Light's DLC make sure to grab it before the price increase hits.

To quote their announcement specifically, Techland had this to say about the price increase:

"Due to the increased scale of the project, we needed to revise the pricing that we announced back in August. We didn’t want this to come as a surprise to you, so we’re announcing it in advance. This price change will not affect players who already own the Season Pass."

The Following (the DLC in question) will introduce a new map, a new story, new gameplay features, as well as a customizable dune buggy for you to drive in and the obligatory crossbow. I'd imagine its the map size that got expanded way more than they initially planned so they had to put in a lot more hours in to the production of the DLC.

While some might complain about the price increase as unfair I see it as a nice gesture from Techland. They didn't quietly raise the price up, instead they fully announced why and when it will increase as well as allowing people an option to buy it at a lower price before hand. In my eyes that is very respectable behavior.
