Blade & Soul's Silverfrost Mountains expansion arrives March 23rd

Its been a mere few months since the release of Blade & Soul in the West, and already we're getting the first expansion, Silverfrost Mountains.

It brings with it a variety of new dungeons, outdoor content, class and raid balance changes, and the start of the first PvP season, among other additions. The announcement also came with a trailer showcasing all of these new features, have a look:

I have a bit of a love/hate relationship with Blade & Soul, mostly because it chose to entirely focus on the combat to the detriment of almost everything else. It also doesn't help that the story is an eldritch amalgamation of some of the dumbest characters and plot points I've seen in years, and yet, here I am still playing and even looking forward to the expansion because the combat is just that fun.

One thing does worry me about Silverfrost Mountains, however, and that's the speed at which it arrives to Blade & Soul. I've been playing for over 70, maybe even 80 hours at this point, and I'm still nowhere near acquiring the prestigious endgame gear. Now with Silverfrost Mountains here I won't ever have a reason to dabble in "old" content when there's new stuff with better rewards out there. As strange as it sounds, I do believe this expansion may have been a bit premature as a lot of dungeons are going to simply remain untouched by the majority of players.

Whatever the case may be, Silverfrost Mountains is coming to Blade & Soul on March 23rd, so I'd recommend you pack some winter clothing.

Blade & Soul Silverfrost Expansion is a pretty place
