E3 has brought with it a whole bunch of announcements for AAA games and their sequels, but also a couple of really interesting indie games. As you can guess from the title, one of these indie games is Unto the End, a 2D action-adventure with a heavy focus on combat and some extremely stylish visuals.

Before I even say anything else I would recommend you check out the recently posted trailer down below. It does a rather good job of explaining what Unto the End is all about, and most importantly, what it looks like. Have a gander:

Unto the End has only just been announced so there isn't much information available, but what I can tell you is that the focus will be on tactical combat against a variety of challenging opponents. As for the story, apparently it will present you with multiple difficult choices throughout your journey, choices that will have drastic consequences further down the line. What exactly all of this means in gameplay terms, I'm afraid I don't know, but the idea behind the whole concept is to encourage multiple playthroughs so hopefully the choices won't just be binary.

The release date for Unto the End is currently pinned for 2018, though no specific date has been given just yet. If you would like to learn more you should head over to either Steam or the official website. And as a final note, here's a couple of stylish images:
