Oriental Empires is a newly released historical 4X game set in ancient China. As you might expect given the genre, in Oriental Empires you will need to raise your nation from humble beginnings to glorious heights, develop your land and construct grand cities, spread your culture and religion throughout the region, and naturally, send massive armies against anyone who dares stand in your way.

If you're interested in seeing what all of this looks like in-game, you'll find what you seek in the recently posted launch trailer down below. Its not a very lengthy video, but thankfully it goes over most of the important gameplay elements. Have a look:

While Oriental Empires has some favorable reviews, it is worth mentioning that a lot of people are complaining about a complete lack of a tutorial, or any sort of explanations for the basic gameplay mechanics. So if you're not a fan of blind experimentation and obscure rules you might want to stay away from Oriental Empires, at least for the time being. I'm sure the developers are working on implementing some of these features as we speak, but its still better to err on the side of caution than end up with a virtual paperweight.

If you don't mind the somewhat artificial difficulty, however, you can learn more about Oriental Empires by heading over to either Steam or the official website. And finally, here's a couple of images, just to set the mood:
