Battlerite is a spiritual successor to the once excellent Bloodline Champions, and as such it contains the same diverse set of characters, the same intricate balance, and most importantly, the same skill-based combat system. While it does feature the same gameplay mechanics as Bloodline Champions, Battlerite is not a boring ol' clone as it brings with it numerous improvements to both the gameplay and the visuals.

In order to give you an idea of what Battlerite is all about I've prepared a brief gameplay video showcasing two matches with my favorite character - Croak, the Ranid Assassin. Expect to see plenty of poison, jumping around, and a whole bunch of opponents running for their lives! Have a look:
