[Update]: Apex Legends' 2020 Halloween event is launching with a spruced up 'Shadow Royale' mode!
Apex Legends' Season 3 update has only just arrived, and already Respawn has unleashed a new dose of content. This time around we're not talking about a new map or legend, however, but rather about a variety of new cosmetics and a rather interesting Halloween themed game mode.
Shadowfall, the new game mode, is a free-for-all deathmatch that takes place in an appropriately spooky version of Kings Canyon. Things start off fairly familiar with you and 34 other solo players dropping across the map, but once the bloodbath begins the whole game mode will take on an entirely different tone.
The base version of Crusader Kings 2 appears to have gone entirely free-to-play

[Update]: Crusader Kings 3 will be attempting to usurp the throne on September 1, 2020!
Crusader Kings 2 has been free to try out many times before, but this time around it appears to have actually gone free-to-play. I say "appears" because the brief announcement doesn't say how long this free-to-play period will last, but since there is no end date listed on Steam like there was for the previous promotions, I think odds are good that Crusader Kings 2 has actually gone completely free now.
Whatever the case may be, I'm sure there are quite a few of you wondering whether Crusader Kings 2 is actually worth your time, to which I would say the answer is a definitive yes if you're a fan of grand strategy games or just enjoy creating your very own stories. After all, it's not every day you can take a petty insult from the AI and turn it into a life-long feud that culminates in the stupidest man you could possibly find taking control of their empire and promptly running it into the dirt.

[Update #2]: After many, many delays, Bloodlines 2 will be re-revealed in September 2023, though you can now refund your pre-order if you wish
[Update]: Bloodlines 2's newest trailer offers a brief and disturbing look into its world.
Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2 was originally supposed to launch at some point in March, 2020. However, according to the latest announcement, it would appear that the release date has now been pushed back to a rather nebulous "later in 2020."
"For the last three and a half years, we’ve worked hard to bring you a worthy successor to Bloodlines 1," reads the latest developer update. "To us, that meant not only making good on the ambitions of this remarkable game, but also a duty to ensure we would not repeat its mistakes."
Total War: Warhammer 2 update has now addressed the campaign crashes and multiplayer balance

Ever since the recent The Hunter & The Beast DLC, Total War: Warhammer 2's multiplayer campaign mode has unfortunately been broken for quite a few people. For whatever reason, and regardless of which mods were active, the campaign simply couldn't be loaded from a save file. Not exactly ideal, especially when the problem could also manifest itself in singleplayer campaigns as well!
Thankfully, the latest update has now finally corrected this issue and you can now resume playing your multiplayer campaigns as if nothing happened. Similarly, the soft lock that occurred when Gotrek & Felix appeared without you owning the corresponding DLC has now also been fixed, so you should be able to finish your Empire campaign without any sort of interruption.
Overwatch's Halloween Terror update has brought in a bunch of amazing new skins

If you were hoping for Overwatch to mix things up and bring in a drastically different Halloween event, I'm afraid you're out of luck as this year's Halloween Terror is mostly the same. On the positive side, the cosmetics this time around are absolutely amazing, even when compared to the extremely high standards set by the previous Halloween events!
The one new thing this year's event has added, however, is three weekly challenges, with each one offering a brand new skin for Junkrat, Baptiste and Sombra respectively. Most importantly of all, the Sombra skin is the awesome-looking Demon Hunter Sombra from last year's Blizzcon! All you really need to do in order to unlock these skins is win nine matches throughout each of the three weeks, be this in Quick Play, Competitive or Arcade game modes.
World of Warcraft: Classic's Dire Maul dungeon is coming this October 15th

[Update]: World of Warcraft: Classic's Phase 2 has now arrived alongside PvP ranks and rewards, as well as two world bosses.
If you've already reached level 60 in WoW Classic and are currently looking to get yourself geared up for raiding, you'll be glad to hear that Blizzard has now announced that the Dire Maul dungeon is coming next week, on October 15th! While it was originally a part of Phase 2 (which also includes PvP ranks and world bosses), Dire Maul has been pushed a little bit forward in order to keep a steady stream of content.
For those of you that might be unfamiliar with Dire Maul, it is a three-wing dungeon filled to the brim with bosses and goodies. Much like Blackrock Depths, Dire Maul is an absolutely massive dungeon that is almost impossible to clear in one run. Combine this with some great visual design and atmosphere, the somewhat unorthodox "Tribute" run that has you spare bosses instead of killing them, as well tons of amazing items that can compete with Molten Core epics, and you've got yourself a recipe for one of the most popular dungeons in the entirety of World of Warcraft.
Apex Legends' Halloween event "Fight or Fright" is coming this October 15th

[Update]: The Shadowfall update is now live, and unsurprisingly, it's quite fun!
Apex Legends' Season 3 update has only just arrived with a brand new map, weapon and Legend, but if you're already itching for more content, I'm happy to say that the Halloween event is just around the corner. More specifically, the Fight or Fright event will be running from October 15 to November 5, bringing with it a variety of cosmetics and an interesting new game mode.
The game mode in question is Shadowfall, a time-limited bloodbath that will take place on a spooky, nighttime version of Kings Canyon. Things will start off fairly simply with you and 34 other solo players dropping across the map, but once people start dying the whole atmosphere will drastically change!
