After two years of updates, development on Star Wars Battlefront 2 has now come to an end

I don't know what exactly is happening behind the scenes, but it would appear that EA is currently in the process of shifting their focus towards the creation of new games. A little while ago they announced that Battlefield V's final update will be coming in June, and more recently, they have also revealed that development on Star Wars Battlefront 2 is now coming to an end.
"Looking beyond April, we’re transitioning to a phase where the servers, in-game challenges, recurring events such as Double XP and more, and game support will carry this broad and rich Star Wars gaming experience into the future," reads the official update. "This means that we’re moving away from delivering regular content updates. As the game lives on with the players and our community, we’re looking forward to hearing your stories for years to come."
Bloodlines 2 preview offers a brief yet disturbing look into its vampire-driven world

[Update #2]: After many, many delays, Bloodlines 2 will be re-revealed in September 2023, though you can now refund your pre-order if you wish
[Update]: Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2 has lost its Lead Narrative Designer and Creative Director.
Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2 was originally supposed to launch this March, but as the release date got closer, the developers chose to delay it until "later in 2020" in order to ensure things are as polished as possible. Quite understandable given that the original Bloodlines got hammered at release due to a variety of game-breaking bugs and issues.
A few months have past since that announcement, and if you're curious about where exactly Bloodlines 2 currently stands, you'll happy to hear the developers have now released a brief but rather disturbing new trailer. Have a gander:
Ron Gilbert has released a free and rather short Thimbleweed Park spin-off game
- By Ash
- in Indie Games
While it originally started off as a prototype for Ron Gilbert’s new point-and-click adventure game engine, Delores: A Thimbleweed Park Mini-Adventure has slowly grown into an actual game - a small spin-off game that doesn't have the usual polish you might expect from a fully fledged title, but a fun little game regardless.
Because of its humble origins, Delores is entirely made out of art and animations found in the previously released Thimbleweed Park. However, while its visuals may be the same, Delores contains all-new puzzles and storylines to discover. So if you're a fan of Thimbleweed Park, or point-and-click adventure games in general, Delores should be a nice, bite-sized experience.
Amazon's colorful and free-to-play shooter Crucible is launching on May 20th

[Update #2]: Crucible will be closing down its servers on November 9, 2020.
[Update]: Crucible has now been officially launched, though not without a whole bunch of problems.
If you're a fan of team-based shooters, you might want to keep an eye on Amazon's upcoming free-to-play game Crucible. Once it arrives on May 20th it'll bring with it a colorful cast of characters, each with their own abilities and playstyles, as well as a variety of reasons to go out and throw fireballs directly into someone's face.
The launch version will feature three distinct game modes, all of which are twists on the genre classics. Heart of the Hives will be a 4v4 mode that challenges you to collect hearts left behind by monstrous hive creatures, which means a lot of running around and sabotaging your enemy. In Alpha Hunters you and a partner will need to square off against a myriad of enemy teams, all in an effort to be the last man/robot/alien/plant-thing standing alive.
Elite: Dangerous studio Frontier is working on a Warhammer: Age of Sigmar strategy game
- By Ash
- in News
[Update]: While no details have been revealed just yet, the Age of Sigmar real-time strategy game has now been delayed until the latter part of 2023.
After creating Elite: Dangerous, Planet Coaster and Jurassic World Evolution, Frontier seems to now be taking things in a bit of a different direction. Instead of it being some sort of simulator, their next game will be a Warhammer: Age of Sigmar real-time strategy.
Details about the game itself are currently few and far between given that it wasn't even officially announced just yet, merely revealed as a part of an IP license agreement. However, what I can say is that Frontier is planning to have it launch in 2023 for PC, consoles and streaming platforms.
Decades after its predecessor, Streets of Rage 4 has now finally arrived in style

[Update]: Streets of Rage 4's very first DLC "Mr. X Nightmare" is adding new characters, weapons and game mode.
It has been quite a while since Streets of Rage 3, but I'm glad to say that the series has now finally made a reappearance with the newly launched Streets of Rage 4. Much like it's predecessor, Streets of Rage 4 is a stylish beat 'em up where you and (hopefully) a couple of friends go wander around kicking the everliving daylight out of an assortment of over-the-top baddies.
As for what exactly this kind of action might look like in gameplay terms, that you will find out through the recently posted launch trailer. Have a gander:
Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night has added a new character and Randomizer game mode

[Update #2]: Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night update has made the umbrella-wielding vampire Bloodless a playable character.
[Update]: Bloodstained has now sold over one million copies, and is celebrating this milestone with a brand new roadmap!
If you're looking for a reason to take Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night for another spin, this latest update should be a pretty good one! Not only has it added Zangetsu as a brand new character with his own abilities and action-packed playstyle, but also a Randomizer game mode that lets you reshuffle and reshape the usual campaign experience.
To unlock Zangetsu all you need to do is complete the good ending, after which you'll be able to choose him on your next playthrough. His character is almost entirely geared towards combat, and with very little in terms of loot or shards to worry about, expect to have a fast and rather exciting playthrough!
