Total War Saga: Troy devs have detailed how they'll deal with mythical monsters and legendary heroes

The divide between Total War: Three Kingdoms and Total War: Warhammer 2 is fairly self-evident. The first is almost entirely focused around portraying historical events with appropriate units and technology, while the second is a completely crazy fantasy world where half-naked barbarians go toe to toe with rats manning machine guns.
However, when it comes to the upcoming Total War Saga: Troy, things start to get a little bit muddled. There are very few historical records about Troy, and the ones we do have frequently delve into the fantastical themselves. So the big question Creative Assembly had to answer is: do you stick to Troy's historical roots, or do you go the way of Warhammer and just portray characters like Achilles as super-human?
Warhammer themed Skulls for the Skull Throne event has recently arrived onto Steam

[Update]: Skulls for the Skull Throne 2021 has arrived with a ton of new content and sales for Warhammer games.
If you were planning to grab a Warhammer Fantasy or Warhammer 40k game, this would be the ideal time to do so. I say this because The Skulls for the Skull Throne 4 event has just recently landed onto Steam, bringing with it an assortment of discounts for a wide variety of Warhammer games.
Many of the games have also received a small content update to help celebrate the event and bring glory to Khorne's name. Total War: Warhammer 2 has added the Black Orc Big Boss, Vermintide 2 a special frame and a rather skull-heavy keep rework, Chaosbane a brand new Infinite Tower mode, and the list goes on.
Overwatch is soon getting its very first novel - The Hero of Numbani

Even though the Overwatch community has been begging for more lore ever since the game first launched, Blizzard has never really expanded its universe beyond the occasional short story. There were originally plans for a graphic novel detailing the fall of the Overwatch organization, but after that one got canceled, Blizzard seemingly lost any interest in trying again.
With that in mind, I am both surprised and pleased to say that Blizzard has now come out to announce the very first Overwatch novel - The Hero of Numbani. As you might imagine from the name alone, the novel will follow Orisa and her creator Efi on their various adventures throughout the futuristic city of Numbani. Here's the brief summary:

[Update]: A brand new giveaway has now arrived, and it's the chaotic co-op cooking game Overcooked!
Epic has recently launched their massive sale, and so they are doing everything in their power to get people to pay them a visit. And honestly, I think their plan is working pretty well given that these past two weeks they've turned quite a few heads by giving out GTA 5 and Civilization VI, while this week they're doing the same with Borderlands: The Handsome Collection.
When it comes to the games themselves, Borderlands: The Handsome Collection contains Borderlands 2 and Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel, as well as every single piece of DLC content released for both games! In other words, if you're a fan of looter-shooters, this is a giveaway you really shouldn't miss out on!
Instead of being delayed, Factorio is now launching five weeks ahead of schedule

[Update]: After nearly a decade in development, Factorio has now finally been released!
Given the current pandemic and plethora of delays that have been announced over the past few months, you might expect that the same fate would befall Factorio. However, in an interesting twist, Factorio developers have instead pushed the launch version's release date forward five weeks, to August 14th!
"The main reason to change the release date is the release of Cyberpunk 2077," reads the official update. "We think any release close to such a monumental game is going to feel some negative effects, such as everybody playing and covering Cyberpunk and taking attention away from other games. So we thought it was best to try release either before Cyberpunk or quite a while after it. Given the two choices, we opted to bring the release date forward."
Totally Accurate Battle Simulator has just added the very wacky Wild West faction

[Update]: Totally Accurate Battle Simulator has just launched from Early Access with multiplayer and new factions!
While it has been in Early Access for quite a while now, Totally Accurate Battle Simulator is making good use of its beta status by constantly releasing a stream of solid content updates. This latest one is no different as it not only adds the gun-totting Western faction, but also new victory conditions and secrets to play around with.
When it comes to the new units, they are once again a rather diverse bunch, featuring everything from cactus cosplayers to pickaxe-wielding miners with open butt-flaps. Besides looking appropriately silly, the new units are a genuinely good addition as they offer some much needed anti-horde options, with the cactus boys being the definite standout given how long they can last in a full-blown brawl.
Far Cry 5 is on sale and free to try out for another two days

If you ever wanted to give Far Cry 5 a try and see just what it has to offer compared to its predecessors, you're in luck as it's currently having a free weekend on PC. Simply head on over to the Ubisoft website, create or log in to your account, and you'll be good to go after a bit of a download.
The catch, as you can probably guess from the "free weekend" thing alone, is that Far Cry 5 will only remain free to play for another two days. While certainly not enough time to finish the whole game, unless you're attempting to speedrun it anyway, it should be more than enough to give you a basic understanding of what Far Cry 5 is about and whether it's even your type of game.
