[Update #2]: Apex Legends' 2020 Halloween event is launching with a spruced up 'Shadow Royale' mode!
[Update]: Apex Legends has added cross-play, as well as tweaked both Wraith and Pathfinder!
If you've fallen off the Apex Legends train and you're looking for something to potentially revitalize your interest, you might want to check out the newly launched Season 6 - Boosted. It brings with it the heavy-weapons focused Rampart as a brand new legend, the rather powerful energy SMG Volt, the ability to craft your own gear by collecting materials throughout the map, and naturally, a whole bunch of changes to the weapons, legends, and even the World's Edge map itself!
You can get a pretty good idea of what all of this looks like in action through two of the newest trailers. The first one is all about Rampart and her abilities, while the second one is more focused on the general changes. Have a little peek:
Horizon Zero Dawn update has corrected some of the issues plaguing the PC version

[Update]: The newest Horizon Zero Dawn PC update has fixed mouse sensitivity issues and improved performance.
While Horizon Zero Dawn is pretty fun to mess around with, the newly released PC version unfortunately has quite a few problems. The performance can be spotty even on powerful machines, crashes can be a frequent occurrence during gameplay, while a variety of annoying bugs (such as Aloy not being able to walk straight) make the process of playing the game a bit fiddly.
In order to address some of these issues, and also to improve the crash report tool to help figure out just what's going haywire, the Horizon Zero Dawn PC team has now released Patch 1.02. You find the brief list of changes, as well as the issues the developers are currently tracking, right below. Have a look:
Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2 has lost its Lead Narrative Designer and Creative Director

[Update #2]: After many, many delays, Bloodlines 2 will be re-revealed in September 2023, though you can now refund your pre-order if you wish
[Update]: Thanks to another delay, Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2 will not be launching in 2021.
Instead of releasing later this year as originally planned, Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2 has recently been delayed until 2021. Given the pandemic and the somewhat janky-looking preview, this was definitely a positive change in my book.
Unfortunately, the latest developer update is a lot harder to digest. Due to what I can only imagine is serious internal struggles, Hardsuit Labs and Paradox have chosen to fire the Lead Narrative Designer Brian Mitsoda and Creative Director Ka’ai Cluney.
Overwatch devs are attempting to rework and rebalance Moira yet again

[Update]: Blizzard is finally taking a serious look at reversing the rampant power creep in Overwatch!
In an effort to make Moira a lot more interesting to play and less annoying to play against, Blizzard has tried to rework and rebalance her abilities multiple times now. Unfortunately, while the idea behind each of the proposed changes was solid, the end result always ended up leaving something to be desired. She either turned out too weak, too powerful, or just a bit too fiddly to properly utilize.
However, it would appear that the most recent set of changes tested quite well given that Blizzard has now unleashed an update version of those tweaks as a part of an experimental update. Here's what they're looking to change, as well as what sort of issues they're trying to solve with the rework as a whole:
Dying Light's surprisingly demon-infested Hellraid DLC has now arrived

[Update]: Dying Light's crossover event has added Left 4 Dead's Bill and the majestic Gnome Chompski.
In a rather unusual twist, while Dying Light 2 is seemingly taking forever to come out, the original Dying Light just doesn't know when to stop adding new content! So even though it has been a fair few years since its original launch, Dying Light has just added a brand new piece of DLC - Hellraid.
As you might expect given the name, Hellraid is a bit of an unusual DLC. Instead of expanding on Dying Light's core like The Following did, Hellraid is more of a dungeon-crawling side-game than anything else.
Dwarf Fortress devs have revealed the upcoming mouse-driven UI improvements

[Update #2]: Dwarf Fortress' new and improved version has now landed onto Steam, and I'm happy to say that it has done so alongside overwhelmingly positive reviews!.
[Update]: Dwarf Fortress devs have revealed their roadmap and plans for the upcoming Steam release.
While Dwarf Fortress is a brilliant game with a genuinely stunning amount of depth, its archaic UI and rather bland art style can make it nearly impenetrable to new players. If you're starting out you pretty much need to play it alongside a step-by-step guide, and even then, figuring out how to navigate all of the menus is a rather herculean task.
As such, I'm very happy to say that the upcoming Steam version will not only have actual visuals that clearly represent what's happening on screen, but also a much more clean and usable UI! Best of all, the freshly reworked UI will have mouse support, so the days of having to memorize a myriad of hotkeys in order to quickly advance through menus are now finally coming to an end!
Hearthstone's next Battlegrounds update will remove both Arcane Cannon and Gentle Megasaur
- By Ash

[Update]: Hearthstone's next expansion is improving the rewards, adding a new mode and plenty of new cards.
If you've recently been playing Hearthstone Battlegrounds, chances are you're well aware of just how powerful Arcane Cannon is. It doesn't matter what kind of build you have or what your goal is, simply stick a cannon in there and your first 6-7 turns will be instantly better. And if that wasn't bad enough, the Arcane Cannon is also incredibly random, making it so matches can often come down to pure chance over any sort of strategy.
In order to correct this, Blizzard is now looking to completely removed Arcane Cannon from the Battlegrounds mode. A bit of a drastic move to be sure, but given how problematic Arcane Cannon has been since the very beginning, I do believe it is the correct one as Arcane Cannon simply doesn't fit the Battlegrounds gameplay style.
